Morning

It was cold this morning when I took this picture.
I stuck my camera out the door as the one I took through
the window did not turn out.  Burrrr
It is still winter but most of our snow melted last week.
I am thankful that our days are getting longer.
I do not feed the birds every day as they can empty the feeder in a couple of hours.
When they no longer come and eat off the ground I give them more to eat.
I do not want them to get too lazy.

Valentine's Day

HAPPY DAY TO MY VALENTINE!!!

After my sister Cindi's hubby did the math on how may Valentine's Days
they had been together.  I did our math.  This is year 46.  We started going together
in the spring of my sophmore year in high school.  Neither of us ever went with anyone
after that.  You could call us highschool sweethearts.

2006 on our 40th Anniversary Trip to England

Wedding day November 20, 1966

Stars shinin' bright above you,
Night breezes seem to whisper, "I love you,"
Bird singin' in the sycamore tree,
Dream a little dream of me.

Say "nightie night" and kiss me,
Just hold me tight and tell me you'll miss me.
While I'm alone and blue as can be,
Dream a little dream of me.

Stars fading, but I linger on, dear.
Still craving your kiss,
I'm longin' to linger 'til dawn, dear.
Just sayin' this...

Sweet dreams 'til sunbeams find you,
Sweet dreams that leave all worries behind you,
But in your dreams, whatever they be,
Dream a little dream of me.

"Dream a Little Dream of Me" is credited to Fabian Andre and Wilbur Schwandt
It was recorded by Wayne King and his Orchestra with vocal by Ernie Birchill on February 18, 1931
The Nat King Cole Trio in New York on October 28, 1947,
Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald in New York on August 25, 1950,
Bing Crosby recorded the song in 1957,
The most famous version is:
Cass Elliot of The Mamas & the Papas, in 1968.

Cool in Flordia

It may have been cool in Florida but the weather was much better than Iowa.
This was one of the few days I wore capri pants.
Larry, Marianne, Warren, myself, Tonya and Vernon on the beach in front of
our hotel at Clear Water Beach.
Us gals went on a boat ride where a pair of dolphins followed us most of the way.
These pictures were taken by Marianne as I was not feeling my sea legs on the ride
and I mostly left our camera in my purse this trip.
I am not sure why the last picture is blurry as it is not in the pictures Marianne
shared on Shutterfly.

Snowstorm

After getting home from 10 days in the Sunshine State, I am enduring the fringe side of a major snow storm.  Hot Australian Haigh's chocolate with homemade marshmallows is mitigating the effects of being home bound.  But in truth I had no plans for this evening that would have taken me away from the comforts of home.
What is it about making a snow angel that is such fun?
I doubt if I will don my hat, gloves, coat, snow pants, and scarf to
plop over in the snow to attempt the perfect angel.
